Surfline: Wave & Surf Reports App Reviews

I check this almost daily. Its a great way to get an idea of the swell before you go out to check your favorite spots.

I find the app differs in reports from the website. Thats my only complaint. HD cams are cool.....

Great app! I surf in San Diego, its pretty accurate. Video clips and forecast very nice, truly free and easy!

Accurate reports, reliable cams and interesting surf news and media content. Most importantly, Surfline stands behind their product by providing excellent customer service when I need it during a recent app failure. Customer Support is done by email 100% positively satisfied.

It does the job

The only reason you buy the $70/ year subscription is to view the cams. The reports are too infrequent, the push notifications w/in the app dont remember that you just viewed new content, there is no "how to" or "FAQ," and many other unintuitive interface/ design annoyances. Also, they dont respond to support queries in a timely manner. Heres a suggestion: Make this the "WAZE" of surfing apps.. Make it to where members can contribute video clips, acknowledge/ post video/ pics of conditions, etc.. I think this idea has potential...

Really great app for forecasts, probably the only one that offers as much detail as it does and from my experience, is the best app for predicting surf in the App Store. One thing I dont like is that the app shows you the regional forecast rather than the spot forecast for forecasting, which can be misleading in highly volatile locations like New England.

I get all the information I need to judge conditions and locations. If you only need things like predicted wave heights, winds, tide and swell intensity...there is no real need to spend any human $$$. I admit, I have in the past paid for monthly memberships which gave me access to a lot of live surf cams and deeper access to the forecasts and other functions. So, if you chose to spend human money for in-app purchases, this app is worth it.

Surfline is a quality app, whether your a surfer looking for nice barrels, wave-shooter, body surfer or just wanting to know if the conditions are safe for your kids. It can tell you the weather, current, tide, rip-current, water temperatures, sunset and sunrise, wind, a detailed report and even what wetsuit to wear. Although the cams are nice (depending on the location) they not only have ads but the cam will last 30s and then another 30s add. Overall it is a quality app and I highly recommend it for beach lovers and coastal residents.

Works, only been using it for 1 hour and app asked me to write a review so to get them Off my back. I am writing a review so I dont have to see the pop up to write a review anymore. So far app has worked great.

Got it for the cams- they work okay. Dig the premium forecasts

Useful app. Easy to use and good reports. I only have the free version which has limitations, but it still gives me all the info I REALLY need before deciding to go out.

Man this app used to be really buggy, and it still has a few bugs here and there, but this app definitely deserves a 5 start review. The content is always fresh, the reports are accurate and done by real people each morning and afternoon. The forecasts are on point. The cams are sick. Keep up the good work!! Also... the surf better be flat right now or youve got your priorities out of order reading this when its firing!! Go get it!! ✌️️

I use this every day. Its pretty accurate. The video is real handy to see what the current conditions are.

Ive been using the browser version and I just downloaded the app. The app crashes every time after I run the ad. So just ads and no cams.

Every time I hit the "Forecast" button the app crashes on this new update. Maybe if you guys would work on the actual application instead of editing your advertisements, and clipping videos of haloes surfing pipe I would be a premium member. Theres always something wrong, and you guys have all the tools. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but till then Im using SpitCast...
